What is JOSCAR?
JOSCAR – designed for defence, aerospace, and security prime contractors, to streamline the verification process of suppliers’ “fit for business” status. It’s now a cross-sector collaborative solution that minimises the time, cost, and resources required for gathering and validating supplier information. Applicable not only to the defence and aerospace industry but various sectors, JOSCAR maintains a centralised register of common data for easy access by participating buying organisations. The accreditation mark, highly valued by major purchasers, attests that suppliers like Incursion Cyber Security have successfully undergone a comprehensive vetting process, providing tangible evidence of their commitment to excellence and their appropriate credentials.
What does qualification involve?
While it might seem straightforward, achieving JOSCAR accreditation it’s not for the faint hearted, let’s just say it’s no walk in the park. The accreditation process delves into a company’s management systems and processes, necessitating a thorough assessment across various critical areas, such as legal, finance, personnel, supply chain, insurance, health & safety, business continuity, environment, cybersecurity, import/export, data privacy and counterfeit products.
